MSI - Your Ladder to the Stars

Warmest greetings from Minamar Specialized Industries!

We delight in meeting new peoples and welcoming them into the greater galactic community. With over 143 successful uplifts to date, we’re the acknowledged leaders in the field of social and technological ascendancy. We’re thrilled to finally make your acquaintance, and hope to add your world to our success story.

We understand that this is all very sudden. Receiving a transmission ‘from the stars’ has likely come as a surprise to you, but we’ve been watching your world for some time and your civilization scores very highly on several relevant metrics. With an evaluation score of ?ERROR_UNDEFINED, the people of ?ERROR_HOMEWORLDNAMENOTFOUND have been flagged as particularly worthy of cooperative enlightenment. Congratulations!

We have assigned some of our best specialists to your case, and our representatives will be arriving on world shortly. We can’t wait to meet in person to discuss the benefits of ascendency as well as the terms of this beautiful arrangement.

Enlightenment may not be free. But at MSI, it’s always worth the cost.

Your friends at Minamar Specialized Industries

People who use MSI motherboards: <nervously looks at their PC's>

Guess playing now with 5x primitives will be more fun, apart from them being free labor.

Also where is Tofu? If he was kidnapped by one of those filthy primitives only place they are getting uplifted is slave pens.

I really hope the patch includes a rework on how species modification works. Currently it is very annoying, especially with multi-species empires.

For the entirety of the post I thought this was a Megacorp FE awakening and proposing a subjugation contract to the galaxy, but primitive uplifiting themed corp seems more like it, and hopefully quite fun!

New uplift-mechanics :D:)?! Oh, this is great news for my "break the Prime Directive as often as possible" - playstyle :).
or it's another case like that buggy machine that uplifts you even though you're already sentient and highly developed
like something with tech levels on par with a fallen empire thinking that your empire is a bunch of primitives that need guidance

best case you may get forcefully recruited like the imperial fiefdom does

Whilst all additions to Stellaris are appreciated, this makes me think that the long desired internal politics rework is probably not happening this time around. Such a change would be the biggest aspect of a given DLC, and emphasising the primitive interactions rework first means internal politics may yet again be on the backburner.

Which does sadden me, as internal politics is in my opinion the area of the game both most in need of an overhaul and the area of the game that is the most promising in terms of new mechanics.

Is this a new story pack on the horizon? We haven't had one of those in a while. And with focus on primitives it seems. Nice.

But where is Tofu? I was told there would be Tofu until Canis Minor Release :(.
