Higher Mortality Mod

Description
"Higher Mortality"-Mod IS BACK!

This mod adds some realism/challenge to the game by making diseases and pregnancy complications more relevant.

Main changes:
-) Moderate increased fertility in general - but also decreasing faster by age
-) Pregnancies are more risky and risk is depending health-status
-) Especially the first pregnancy is more risky
-) Higher mortality caused by more common events of different kind of diseases
-) Especially "pneumonia"-disease is now much more common for children and works more as a collective term for all typical adolescence diseases which are not existing ingame as disease yet and were historically very dangerous and common
-) Much wider range of given health constitution at birth for all characters - some are already born with better constitution and dont have to fear diseases so much and for others a influenza is much more life-endangering
-) Rebalance of medical treatments
-) Knights&Commanders have a higher risk to get wounded or maimed during a battle
-) Rebalanced Genetics: Most traits are a little bit more common and its a little bit more difficult to breed traits
-) Reduced likehood for random harm-event so that the game expierence wont become too deadly with this Mod on default-settings. (new since 1.9.1)
-) Reduced stress-gain caused by dead children

Result:
Much more difficult for characters to become adult or old man making dynasty management more challenging

Reason why I like my mod: I already play with and work on this mod since 1.0 and its not easy to balance it, but after all it always made the game experience more immersive and telling great stories about dynasties where not always the first born gets on the throne. And do yourself a favor and dont let your character marry a old woman if you are looking for heirs! With this mod its much more important to have an plan B for your dynasty!

Its not mandatory but considerable to use "Less old wives" to have more stable AI-Dynasties: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2265131712

@ENFP: Thank you very very much! I cant say when I will do the patch work, (i guess in 7 or 21 days but wont promise anything) but I am very glad you already did the work yourself and are so bountiful to share it! Much respect!

Hi guys, I created an update for this mod here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3178096410

If Fletz comes back to fix it I will take it down, but I decided to help out because I already tweak this mod a lot!

I would assume there would be some re-balancing since the DLC and vanilla added the Plague stuff.

if it's okay I'll take a look and see if I can get the basic part working? since it's a really handy mod

I stopped playing CK3 a long time ago and have been making updates the last few times just for you guys. I'm afraid it will take a while before I find the time to do this work again. :-/

@Electric Face There are enough changes to the event files and defines and such that I would think it's likely that it would cause a crash. However, once Fletz gets to it, it should be easy to update.

hey thank you so much for this awesome mod! I just wanted to let you know that I have encountered crashing while using this mod with the new update (I did some testing an determined that this mod was causing the crashes).

It still works

Could you please update the mod to the new patch, 1.12.1? Many thanks in advance!

@fletz Will you be updating this for the upcoming DLC? I still think this mod will be crucial overall for a full immersive medieval experience.
