Dear console players,
Today we have released patch 9.2 for XBOX, aimed at solving the identified memory issues.
This fix should result in less instances of game crashing, in particular for XBOX series S.
PlayStation5 patch is undergoing additional testing and we’re aiming to release it next week.
We are constantly working on new patches aimed at solving the game crashes and other critical bugs. Please follow this thread and expect to hear more from us next week.

Loading a pre-existing autosave from a previous patch can affect the game by causing crashes or making it unstable. While we work on fixing this issue, we recommend not load auto-saves but manual saves instead.
I'm on series s and before the update I couldn't manually save ironman games because it would crash most of the time, so I shouldn't even try to load those yet? Also it kept telling me that I didn't have room for save files and to delete some saves to make room for new ones so I deleted all of them and it still kept saying it when I don't have anything saved

There is a risk your game wouldn't work properly.
HOWEVER, it does not mean it's doomed - it could actually work fine. Please let us know if it worked!
It started out fine and worked great but then started saying the same save stuff. It will still auto save most of the time it just pops up what's in the first picture and then the second picture happens and it takes everything and wipes it.
So it started out great but after about 3 years in game time it started saying the save stuff again but it still auto saves it just does a pop up so I went to manually save and the first picture happened, it froze then went to home screen. The second picture is right after and it shows it deleted everything but I closed the game and restarted and it's all back to normal as shown in third picture. It hasn't crashed yet though so that's fixed it seems. I'm on ironman if that makes a difference.

Horrible Update. Nothing get fixed. It still crashes on autosave, now there are new sound bugs. The Update made it worse instead better. Xbox Series s

I can’t believe I made an account to complain—but seriously, come on. Paradox Interactive has sold millions of copies of CK3 alone, and all Paradox and Lab42 can do is break the game continuously with such a massive income. Y’all have had a long, long time to create a correct PC to Console port for CK3+DLC, and yet it was still sloppily put together last second. On top of that, y’all are lying back and forth about playtesting, and how the bugs are “hard to replicate” when every CK3 Console player can replicate all of them in five minutes.
Now, you’ve released “updates” that have fixed nothing and caused more issues. What are you guys all doing with all that $$ people spent on Royal Court and Northern Lords just to play their excel spreadsheet more interactively?? Y’all got the money, the resources, etc, and you still refuse to create a comprehensive, working product. This is literally just another case of a corporate shell-out releasing unfinished games and expecting the scammed buyer to deal with it. You guys must’ve hired folks from Bethesda and CD Projekt Red to make this port, and all that’s going to happen is more broken updates and robotic corporate voices going; “We’re sorry to hear that! We’re working on a solution! We're just a bunch of silly gooses making uh-ohs."

I have little downtime during the school year since I teach history to high school students, and I was really looking forward to summer just to play my favourite game. Even more so that Royal Court was conveniently being released towards the end of our semester. I am extremely disappointed in Paradox and Lab42, and I am not the type to complain.

Soooo your " update" has turned a crash every 20 odd minutes into one every 10-15 minutes or each time it tries to autosave on ironman and there is a noticeable lag been introduced after a war enforce demands along with many audio bugs also so overall a net negative for an update as you broke more than you fixed... How about you test these updates before release just a novel idea.. Of course this thread will go dark now as more than a few replys from a paradox employee is beyond normal operating procedures and not allowed for us console peasants

I play on the series S and it doesn't matter if I load a auto-save or a manual save the game still crashes. This "patch" didn't fix anything at all. In fact my game lagging even more, sound glitches, and oh ya GAME STILL CRASHES. Thanks labs42 for nada. Bunch of B.S
Edit: Also when I manual save their is a 50/50 chance the game just crashes along with delete my game I just tried saving

I was being kind I've had two crashes now 8 minutes apart each...... Let's just say I smell a class action suit coming shortly if there isn't some form of actual progress made on the basics

I reply to let you know that nothing has changed, even worse. audio bugs have been added, the music is jerky, the environment and everything else does not go in time. also sometimes the video screen also jerks, which it didn't do before... I deactivated the automatic save as you said, but it still crashes every 10 minutes.

Please do add a fix for the "retract vassals" issue on console for that same patch. This should be one of the easiest issues for you to reproduce and fix, and it's a critical game-play issue (one of the main gameplay features is not working).

Before the update, the commanders were organised on that screen by commander skill (highest to lowest) Now they appear to be random.

But the big problem is that we don't see the skill that makes playability very limited on ps5.
