Howdy all,

This Update is, technically speaking, very minor and should not affect save games in any way. There are also no other changes made as you can tell from this super beefy changelog:

Fixed the following issue:

  • CK3 - Stability - Game doesn't launch when starting the game on an older CPU (non-AVX)

We have received numerous reports after the release of the 1.7 “Bastion” Update regarding an issue affecting certain older CPUs without support for AVX functionality. Since we wanted to make sure this got the proper attention it required and was not rushed, we took the weekend to test and make sure our Update was fully ready to release.

While the number of players affected by this issue was relatively low, it was still a very high priority issue and something that we wanted to address to make sure we had a solid process for before releasing it. As of now, this Update is live and should resolve these issues. If you are still facing issues or need any assistance, keep reporting issues HERE and we will be glad to assist.

As one of those effected by this, just wanted to thank Paradox for the extremely quick response to this problem with the beta hotfix on steam over the weekend and the full release today. Much appreciated.

This didn't affect me, but I used to play CK2 on an ancient PC so I can imagine how annoying this was for those affected. Thank you for the quick fix, devs.

Sorry guys but it didin't solve anything for me. Game still crashes right after the loading screen (just before the map appears). The last minor update's been applied, but the problem remains obviously.

I had no issues running the game between the 1.7 update and yesterday (Sunday). But whatever you did overnight turned the game into a laggy memory hog with crashing problems I've never experienced before.

Yup, that's now three unexplained crashes straight to the desktop in just a few months of gameplay. Looks like you fixed the game for some folks but broke it for others.

Guess I'll play another game until you fix this.

And now it crashes immediately upon loading.

I will be happy to submit whatever kind of system data you need, but I don't know what kind of system data you need or where to find it. All I know is this game worked fine until today, and now it's unplayable.

Also, am I seeing correctly that you're not making the 9/8 version of 1.7 available as a beta that I can roll back to? The only version of 1.7 is the 9/12 version that is completely broken?

If you are talking about a random house having the same CoA as you, then yes. I've encountered this even though I use a custom made CoA (Vanilla)
yes but if you keep playing more and more houses will copy them, so eventually everyone has the same few coas

this bug existed some time ago but was fixed, i think it's back now

Lots of issues are coming from mods that use a lot of resources, for some reason they changed the allowed resources with the 1.7.0 update so there are many mods that are now crashing the game on loading screen because of that limit. I hope this gets looked at and changed back because many mods are now useless.

Then you have an unrelated problem. Please make a new thread in tech support with all relevant details, thanks.

Can we have the list of known bugs for 1.7.0? There has been many bugs that has been confirmed since last year, been "added to your database" but still haven't been fixed. If you release the list of known bugs maybe the community modders can have a look into fixing them.

as requested plenty of times plz consider put in some changes to raiding, eco, and better transition from tribal to feudal also enable creation of larger empires/kingdoms, that would be great! i would like to see overall some more options to spend gold in strategic development and different army directions.

I guess there is still no fix for map editor crashing and the game feels more laggy. although, rolling back to 1.6 works fine for now.
