Is this to balance the pace with which you get Disciplines?
Diablerie.
Imagine, I resurrect Michael. What happens to the one that's inside Mary? Do we have two Michaels now? Is he pulled from inside the Mary and she is now 5th gen?
Better yet. I resurrect Irad, Enoch and Zillah. Quite thrilling development in itself, right? But what happens to Antediluvians? Are they less than what they were, because they now never ever have consumed 2nd gens?
You talk about level 9 ritual, would be a good start to make it look like one. Right now it's not even a scheme, it's interaction that assumes consent.
Correct me if I am wrong. I engage wight in a peaceful interaction, which is quite a feat in itself, but alright. Blablabla, the Beast is subdued and grows up the Conciousness back exactly the way it was before wassail. It's extremely important what Blablabla there respresents.
Why don't I do the same to my own Beast. I mean, who needs Golconda? Just have a seat with the Beast, talk some sense into it, set up some ground rules like two adults we are, and live happily thereafter.
For a more general answer, the mod isn't really taking stances or telling the players what is right or wrong in the WoD. There is no "bad wrong fun" position among the devs.
We apply a simple philosophy. Does a potentially interesting gameplay mechanic has a basis in lore? (like Bardo's unwighting, playing Abominations or discovering your inner Hun and P'oi). If yes? We try to make it fun as a CK3 mechanic. If no? (like bloodgorged) We don't use it.
We are, because we use CK3, a very different beast from the tabletop so different rules apply (like the tabletop would never allow you to start as Mithras). So, like many video games about the WoD before us, we try to stay faithful to the universe itself, not the tabletop rules directly.
